'ANCIENT DOGS FOR MODERN PEOPLE' Kia ora Welcome to our celebration of Koreke Chinese Crested Dogs. Our aim at Koreke Kennels is to breed physically sound, happy Crested's using the best of New Zealand and International bloodlines. We believe that every puppy born in our kennels deserves the very best start in life that we can provide. Temperament and health are our most important considerations when we plan a ltter. Our journey of learning about Chinese Crested's begun in 1998, with the purchase of a two female siblings, a white powderpuff and a red hairlessl from Tereiora Kennels None of our breeding or show success would be possible without the pratical advice, and mentoring provided by fellow breeders here, and in Australia. We would like to thank Sandy and Kevin Wesley of Tereiora Kennels, Sally Johnson of Xioma Kennels, Linda Milot of Saxor Kennels, Skye and Lynette Mawson of Blackheath Kennels, and the late Gordon Pugh of Pughbear Kennels.This has allowed us to add imported bloodlines from Australia, Scotland, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Sweden. In 2007 I was privileged to handle Billy, Aust Grand & NZ Ch Xioma Fire In The Sky as he became the first Chinese Crested to win BIS at a New Zealand All Breeds Show.

Koreke Kennels is situated on a North Canterbury lifestyle block with two acres of dog fenced runs for ourside play and excersise. Our purpose built home inculdes a Kennel room, complete with its own kitchen, laundry, and sleeping areas. In addition there is a separate Grooming room.
